Today is officially considered the birthday of the city of New Orleans. This piece of wet, hot and insect covered ground became a city May 7th 1718. I wonder if the Le Moyne brothers had any idea what would come of this French trading post.
I am very proud to live in a place so rich with history but with many folks that have a modern way of thinking. I don't always agree with the way things are run or the decisions that are made but that doesn't take away from how I feel in the soles of my boots and the Crescent shaped soul in my heart.
